Can I buy or test an Apple iPad? When does the iPad come out?

I’ve been hearing a lot about the Apple iPad lately and I’m interested in getting one for myself. Any place I can get on the Apple beta, or test one of those bad boys out?!
Also, when do they come out so I can buy one?
You may be able to try them out at the Apple stores or an electronics store in your area. If they don’t have them, find a friend with an iPhone and imagine using that only with a bigger screen and no phone service.
Your best bet is just watch youtube videos to get the feel.

Good luck trying to get a hold of one before they actually come out. The wifi models will be shipping at the end of march according to Apple, and the ones with 3G connectivity are expected to ship in April, pending FCC approval. When they come out, I would go down to your local apple store to try one out.
